TRD Off-Road Capability

A TRD-tuned suspension with enhanced rebound control and red coil springs with revised spring rates mean better ride quality, while the skid plate helps protect the underside when tackling gravel-covered roads. Multi-Terrain Select

RAV4 features standard Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) on All-Wheel Drive (AWD) gas models. Choose between four modes (MUD & SAND, ROCK & DIRT, SNOW and NORMAL) for enhanced traction. When activated, the system is designed to sense slippage and regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle, brakes and drive-force distribution—helping to maximize driving performance on different surfaces.

Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD With Rear Driveline Disconnect

Available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive (TV-AWD) helps enhance responsiveness and stability by sending up to 50 percent of the power to the rear and then further distributing that power to the right or left wheel. To help boost fuel efficiency, Rear Driveline Disconnect will stop sending power to the rear when it isn’t necessary.

Drive Modes

Three distinct drive modes let you tailor RAV4’s driving dynamics to match your mood. SPORT Mode provides sharper acceleration, Eco Mode helps maximize fuel efficiency, and NORMAL Mode blends fuel economy with performance.

TRD Off-Road

Front and Rear Parking Assist With Automatic Braking

Available Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB) audibly and visually warns you when it detects stationary objects or vehicles approaching from the rear. If the system determines there may be contact with a detected obstacle or vehicle, it will reduce engine power and/or apply the brakes.

Panoramic View Monitor With Camera Perimeter Scan

RAV4’s available Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) with Perimeter Scan helps you check your surroundings for hazards. It uses four cameras, one on each side of the vehicle, to display a bird’s-eye view onto the touchscreen display. Паркетник Toyota RAV4 осмелел в версии TRD Off-Road

«Пятый» RAV4 продаётся в Штатах уже два месяца в пяти комплектациях: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure и Limited. За основу TRD Off-Road взята Adventure ценой $32 900 (2,16 млн рублей). Тяга к приключениям у неё внешне выражена в массивных бамперах, накладках на арки и рейлингах.

Исполнение TRD Off-Road в Америке получают только настоящие вездеходы Tacoma и 4Runner, а теперь версией с тем же названием вдруг обзавелась «паркетная» Toyota RAV4 пятого поколения. Компания не боится тем самым дискредитировать пакет TRD Off-Road, потому что есть «самый внедорожный» набор TRD Pro, зато Рафик сможет съезжать с асфальта смелее. Ему выдали подвеску и колёса, «вдохновлённые» ралли, однако на рынок США разрешили выйти лишь осенью.

Салон обтянут синтетическим материалом SofTex, который похож на кожу, но легче и прочнее неё. В глаза бросаются красные акценты и контрастная прострочка. Логотипы TRD размещены на подголовниках и всепогодных ковриках. Оснащение, очевидно, почти максимальное.

Изначально RAV4 Adventure был наделён атмосферной «четвёркой» 2.5 (206 л.с., 250 Н•м), восьмиступенчатым «автоматом», полным приводом, дорожным просветом в 218 мм и передовым комплексом безопасности Toyota Safety Sense. При переходе в комплектацию TRD Off-Road паркетник получил двухтрубные амортизаторы, демпферы на отбой и сжатие с уникальными красными пружинами, вездеходные шины Falken Wildpeak A/T на 18-дюймовых матово-чёрных легкосплавных дисках TRD и кое-какой декор. До российского рынка пока не добрался обычный «пятый» Рафик, который будет производиться в Санкт-Петербурге. Ждём его через несколько месяцев.

Toyota доработала подвеску нового RAV4 для езды по бездорожью

Самый популярный в США кроссовер – Toyota RAV4 – обзавёлся внедорожной версией TRD Off-Road, на которой можно смело съезжать с асфальта и с приличной скоростью штурмовать целину. В России такой автомобиль заинтересовал бы многих.

До нашей страны RAV4 пятого поколения ещё не добрался, да и в США (а это главный рынок сбыта этой модели) продаётся лишь пару месяцев. Кроссовер прошлого поколения стал в 2018 году абсолютным бестселлером американского сегмента SUV: реализовано 427 168 экземпляров, на 4,8% больше, чем в 2017-м. Лидерство, впрочем, не слишком уверенное, основные конкуренты тоже расходятся отлично: Nissan Rogue (так в США называется Х-Trail) нашёл в прошлом году 412 110 покупателей (+2,14%), а Honda CR-V – 379 021 (+0,11%). В январе «рафик» и вовсе пропустил соперников вперёд: его продажи составили 24 505 штук, тогда как результат Rogue – 26 113 проданных экземпляров, а у CR-V – 29 152. Американцам не приглянулся новый брутальный стиль тойотовского кроссовера? Пока сказать сложно – возможно, просто к дилерам не завезли достаточное количество машин, и в следующие месяцы RAV4 вернёт себе лидерство. В любом случае Toyota продолжает усиливать оффроудный имидж своих моделей, и вслед за гигантским рамным «чемоданом» Sequoia TRD Pro представила на автосалоне в Чикаго внедорожную версию RAV4 под названием TRD Off-Road.
