I built this vehicle because I love off-road vehicles and overland rigs. I also love Toyotas and my dream car is a Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series. Another thing I love about this build is the customizability. This model was built to be a serious off-roader. It features tons of off-road essentials such as, a heavy duty front bumper, roof mounted lights, rock rails, tow mirrors, a bumper mounted radio antenna, a snorkel, a roof rack, folding seats, a spare tire, a mini fridge, a jerry can, a shovel, recovery rope, a fire extinguisher, a MAXTRAX recovery board, an inline 6 turbodiesel engine, a opening trunk, and interior gauges. Overall, I think this would make a great addition to a lego city adventure set or something similar to that. Also this model has lots of playability, and isn’t super difficult to build.

В октябре Toyota повысила цены на модель во всех модификациях: прибавка относительно изначальной стоимости оказалась внушительной.

По состоянию на середину октября Toyota Land Cruiser 300 с дизельным двигателем V6 объемом 3,3 литра мощностью 299 лошадиных сил стоит от 5 776 000 рублей, тогда как на старте продаж такой автомобиль оценили в 5 557 000 рублей: прибавка составила 219 тысяч рублей. Внедорожник с дизельным мотором в самом дорогом исполнении GR Sport можно приобрести за 7 839 000 рублей (плюс 219 тысяч рублей относительно изначальной цены). Разумеется, по факту дилеры продают автомобили гораздо дороже.

Full-Sized Toyota Land Cruiser Has Over 440,000 Pieces, Looks Beefy

It took 12 people 2,688 hours to plan and assemble it.

The Toyota dealer for the United Arab Emirates commissioned the construction of a full-sized example of the latest Land Cruiser out of Lego. It took 12 people 2,688 hours to develop the plan and to assemble over 440,000 blocks into the shape of this big SUV.

The Lego Land Cruiser measures 194.9 inches (495.05 centimeters) long and 74 inches (188 centimeters) tall just like the real thing. The plastic vehicle weighs 4,519 pounds (2,050 kilograms). For comparison, the actual Land Cruiser with the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 weighs 7,121 pounds (3,230 kilograms).

«We hope that our Lego Land Cruiser build will bring out the inner child in all of us as well as delight our loyal Land Cruiser and LEGO fans across the UAE,» Andy Barratt, managing director of Al-Futtaim Lexus and Al-Futtaim Toyota said.

The new Land Cruiser is not coming to the United States, but Americans are getting the Lexus LX600, which is largely identical except for having a more luxurious cabin. Power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 making 409 horsepower (305 kilowatts) and 479 pound-feet (649 Newton-meters) that runs through a 10-speed automatic.

The New Land Cruiser Looks Quite Capable:

For folks looking for more off-road ability, the F Sport trim for the LX600 adds a Torsen limited-slip differential and revised suspension tuning. It rides on 22-inch wheels.

Inside the LX, there’s a dual-screen infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display on top and a 7.0-inch screen below it. An available Ultra Luxury package adds reclining rear seats, a fold-down front passenger seat, a rear entertainment system.

Building a full-sized Lego vehicle is a somewhat common way to promote a new model. Just in 2021, we saw 1:1 replicas of the Toyota Supra and Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 from the plastic blocks. We created a slideshow of 20 more examples for anyone with an interest in seeing more.

Toyota Landcruiser 40 Series

If you’ve spent any time in the Australian outback, or remote and rugged terrain elsewhere in the world, the Toyota Landcruiser four-wheel-drive would be a familiar sight. And while these days you see plenty of Landcruisers in the city too, it is the early model 40 Series that has become an icon.

In Australia, it set the standard for toughness and reliability in the four-wheel-drive market, building Toyota’s reputation and becoming a favourite in the mining, agriculture, construction and engineering sectors. In many other countries in the world, it was equally popular as a reliable vehicle for tough environments.

My first car was a diesel 40 Series Landcruiser, and apart from the sentimental value, I knew the distinctive body shape and interesting features would make a great model. Having already built the Lego Mini Cooper and the Kombi, the 40 Series Landcruiser rounds out the trio nicely for those who like to get off-road.

This model reproduces unique features of the BJ42 – the pinnacle of the 40 Series – such as the triple windscreen wipers of course with perhaps the only thing missing is the zebra-striped pattern on the seats. I also included lots of detail with foot well vents on both driver and passenger sides, the chassis and running gear along with the leaf springs.

Comprising approximately 1700 bricks, this model is a classic four-wheel-drive.

At some point during our awkward adolescence, most of us abandon the toys we spent hours playing with as children, trading our youthful creativity and imagination for the jaded realism of adulthood. But some lucky people manage to turn childhood obsessions into a career instead. Among those are Lego certified builders, who use their passion for the plastic building blocks to craft colossal Lego sculptures. Al-Futaim Toyota, a dealership in the United Arab Emirates, found one such Lego certified builder based there, and now the dealer gets to show off this full-size Lego model of the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300.

The model, which is on display next to the real thing in the Dubai Mall until December 15, is incredibly accurate. The Land Cruiser sculpture has the exact same dimensions as the actual SUV, stretching 194.9 inches long and 74 inches tall. The huge project is constructed from more than 440,000 Lego bricks and weighs in at over 4500 pounds, not far off the real Land Cruiser’s 5700-plus-pounds. The Lego vehicle was pieced together by 12 team members and took 2688 hours to develop and build.

More Lego Cars

The Lego version is based on the latest generation of Toyota’s venerable off-roader, which unfortunately will not be sold in the United States. Instead, the U.S. market will receive its more luxurious counterpart, the Lexus LX. Both the Land Cruiser and the LX are powered by a gasoline twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 with 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The Land Cruiser is also offered with a turbo-diesel 3.3-liter V-6 with 304 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque. Of course, under the hood of the Lego Land Cruiser model you’ll find, well, more Legos.
