These are the 911 (type 997 – model years 2005-2008) and early Boxster and Cayman (type 987 – model years 2005-2008), as well as for the first-generation Cayenne (model years 2003-2008). PCCM Plus includes USB connectivity, digital radio and Bluetooth functions, allowing you to wirelessly connect to Android Auto.

How do I set up Android Auto in a Porsche?

On your phone, open the Bluetooth menu and select the Android Auto tile on the infotainment system of your Porsche. Фирменная медиасистема Porsche Communication Management (PCM) перешла в шестое поколение: новая версия уже этим летом появится на серийных моделях Porsche 911, Panamera и Cayenne. Интерьеры этих машин не изменятся, сохранится даже размерность дисплеев, однако сами устройства — с новым «железом», унифицированным с системой MIB 3 концерна Volkswagen. Кстати, электрический Porsche Taycan с самого начала имеет «урезанную» версию PCM 6.0: вся электроника там новая, а полноценный функционал заработает после обновления, которое состоится позже.

Главное в шестой версии — как раз новое программное обеспечение, разработанное подразделением Porsche Digital. PCM 6.0 поддерживает дистанционное обновление «по воздуху». Существенно улучшено голосовое управление: мультимедийка теперь распознает «свободную речь», а активировать голосового помощника можно фразой «Hey Porsche». Структура меню стала менее глубокой, появилась знакомая по мобильным гаджетам функция «drag-and-drop», позволяющая оперативно переносить иконки и файлы.

Интерфейс Apple CarPlay теперь работает по беспроводному соединению, добавлено прямое подключение к сервису Apple Music и подкастам. А еще в компании Porsche наконец-то решились интегрировать Android Auto: прежде его не было по имиджевым соображениям, но, судя по всему, количество запросов и жалоб от владельцев смартфонов на Андроиде стало критическим. Кроме того, PCM 6.0 можно дистанционно соединить со смартфоном через приложение Porsche Connect: оно позволяет не только контролировать параметры машины, но также дает доступ к автопарковщику.

С новой медиасистемой стандартным станет приложение Porsche Track Precision, которое прежде использовалось только на спорткарах 911 и 718. Теперь оно появится на всех моделях с устройством PCM 6.0. Фактически это «цифровой инструктор», который активируется на гоночных трассах (в базе уже есть информация о 300 треках) и отображает телеметрию заезда, сравнивая ее в режиме реального времени с результатами предыдущих кругов или образцовыми заездами. Результаты гонок можно передать на смартфон и синхронизировать с видеозаписью.

А для электромобилей (это не только существующий Taycan, но и грядущий Macan) в компании готовят собственный уникальный саундтрек. Приложение Soundtrack My Life для системы PCM 6.0 позволит скачивать и конфигурировать звуковое сопровождение, причем это будет не только некая имитация звука двигателя, но и особая музыка, подходящая для разных поездок. Для работы над саундтреком приглашен немецкий композитор Борис Сальхов, но финальный вариант компания Porsche представит позже. Над таким же проектом сейчас работает и BMW при содействии композитора Ханса Циммера.
