Nissan Qashqai Colours
We love it when standard, free colour options aren’t just cheap starting points to tempt you into spending more on a metallic. The Flame red that comes as standard on a Qashqai is a smart, bright, fire-engine red and it looks great.
Special solid — Arctic white £250
As ever, white can be a difficult colour for a mid-size crossover to carry off with panache, but the Qashqai’s Arctic white just about manages it thanks to a nice depth of colour. It’s also the most affordable optional paint here, so that’s in its favour too.
Specifications
Metallic — Blade silver £575
Yes, it’s yet another silvery-grey mid-size crossover but the brightness of Blade silver works fairly well on the Qashqai. It could do with being a tone or two warmer, to make it look more welcoming on a wintry day, but that aside it’s a good option.
Metallic — Gun metallic £575
Metallic grey is never a bold choice, and for us, it’s one of the safest options available. Sure it’s nice having a metallic colour that can glint in the sunlight, but the best reason to get a darker colour like this is that it’s easy to maintain and dirt doesn’t show up as easily.
Metallic — Ink blue £575
Ink blue is the inverse of Magnetic blue. It’s a quite dark and conservative blue, and fails to make the Qashqai’s styling light up in any meaningful sense. It’s not a colour that’s going to harm your resale, but neither will it cheer you up much.
Metallic — Pearl black £575
As with some other models, Pearl black looks smart enough, but even with the extra depth of it being metallic, it looks a tiny bit dull and fails to bring out the Qashqai’s lines. A sensible choice, but not an exciting one. There is an option to match it with a contrast grey roof, which does help a bit.
Pearl — Ceramic grey £745
This lighter matte shade of grey will make it easier to spot when your car gets grimy, especially during the winter months. However, the flat look might not be for everyone, and this particular colour is not the most exciting option.
Pearl — Storm white £745
Being more like a light cream than pure white, Storm White isn’t the most practical colour you could choose. A more neutral colour can do better on the used market if you choose to sell, but this will be a nightmare to keep clean. It will take a few miles on a wet day to undo any cleaning work you might have done.
Special metallic — Burgundy £745
You don’t see too many cars offered in burgundy these days, but this deep red is actually quite smart. It helps the chrome detailing stand out and contrasts well with the black trim of the Qashqai. It’s not the best at resale though, as it might not be to everyone’s tastes.
Special metallic — Fuji sunset red £745
Fuji sunset red is even more vivid and striking than the basic, free Flame red but it suffers slightly from having too much orange in it, which kind of washes out the effect just a little. It works much better when you spec it with a contrast black roof, but that’s expensive.
Special metallic — Magnetic blue £745
Magnetic blue is a very bright and vibrant blue, and works very well with the Qashqai’s lines. It’s possibly not one for shrinking violets, but you’ll have less chance of losing your Nissan in a crowded car park. Looks great with the optional black contrast roof.
Two tone metallic — Black/grey roof £1,095
If you want a two-tone body for your Qashqai, this isn’t the best choice. It’s novel having a grey roof contrasting with the black, but it doesn’t really work. It looks like it came out of the factory unfinished. Being one of the more expensive paint options, it’s probably better to choose one of the other two-tone options.
Two tone pearl — Ceramic grey/pearl black roof £1,265
The black contrast roof helps break up the rather dull grey bodywork, and also gives a floating roof effect that looks pretty cool. It’s not the most exciting combination available, but if you’re after a car that’s easy to keep looking cleaner, then this could be the one for you.
Two tone pearl — Fuji sunset red/pearl black roof £1,265
This is arguably the best paint combination for a Nissan Qashqai. Fuji Sunset Red is a fantastic colour, while the contrasting roof helps break it up so it isn’t overpowering. If you want your car to stand out from the crowd, this is your go-to choice.
Two tone pearl — Magnetic blue/pearl black roof £1,265
In a similar vein to the Fuji Sunset Red, this Magnetic Blue with contrasting roof combination looks great and is one of the better options. Much like the red, it could be tricky to keep clean, but on the whole, it makes the Qashqai look more stylish.
Two tone pearl — Pearl white/pearl black roof £1,265
This pearly white paint looks quite smart on the Qashqai, and the black contrast roof certainly stands out against it. It will also be a good option when it comes to the used market, being a more neutral option. Just keep in mind it will regularly need to be cleaned to look its best, especially in winter.

Solid finishes
Flame Red — £0
You can have any colour as long as it’s… red? That’s right – Flame Red is the only no-cost colour option for the new Qashqai. It’s a decent colour and it sets the car off well, but unless you can like red, you might want to consider paying a little extra.
Special solid finishes
Arctic White — £250
Arctic White is the only colour besides Flame Red that isn’t metallic or pearlescent. That means it won’t shimmer quite as brightly in sunlight, but it’s a solid choice and sure to be popular. White is one of the most popular car colours out there these days.
Metallic finishes
Ink Blue — £575
Moving on to metallic hues, Ink Blue is a vibrant colour that’s just dark enough to keep the road grime at bay. You won’t need to be driving to the car cash every couple of days with this one. It’s not the brightest blue on the list, but it gives the already classy-looking Qashqai that extra classy edge.
Blade Silver — £575
Blade Silver will be a popular choice among many customers, although the colour’s popularity has fallen behind other shades in recent years. Featuring an almost matte-like finish, it’ll be a doddle to keep clean and hide any tiny scratches really well. There are certainly more interesting choices on this list though.
Gun Metallic — £575
Gun Metallic is a dark grey shade that will hide road grim even better than Blade Silver. Grey was the most popular car colour of choice last year. This hue is bound to be a hit, particularly with fleet operators. Whether or not you’d like something a little brighter for your Qashqai is up to you.
Pearl Black — £575
They say any car looks good if it’s painted black, and the all-new Qashqai certainly does. It’s a glossier black than most but, despite its name, it is actually a metallic colour. Black cars are actually quite difficult to keep looking their best, so you might be cracking out the bucket and sponge a little more often with this shade.
Special Metallic finishes
Burgundy — £745
Burgundy is a rich deep red that suits the Qashqai well. That deepness also ensures it hides road grime well, although being a special metallic means you’ll pay a slight premium over the options mentioned above.
Magnetic Blue — £745
Magnetic is the right name for this shade – it really sparkles and has a bit of the wow-factor about it. It’s brighter and Ink Blue, which means it’ll be more difficult to keep clean. But when the sun hits it at the right angle, it’s one of our favourite Qashqai colours and makes the contrasting trim and alloy wheels stand out really well.
Fuji Sunset Red — £745
When there’s a very similar hue available for no extra cost, choosing Fuji Red might seem like an odd decision. But it’s a much richer red than the no-cost option with a deep shine that really sparkles. Whether it’s worth the extra is your decision.
Pearlescent finishes
Ceramic Grey — £745
Ceramic Grey is the first of two Pearlescent colour options for the Qashqai. The difference is that these paints contain tiny flakes that give the paint a more reflective and rich quality. It really pays off with Ceramic Grey, although it’s very similar to Gun Metallic in the sunlight.
Storm White — £745
Pearl is the other white option on the Qashqai, but unlike Flame and Fuji reds, you really can tell a difference between these two. Compared to Arctic Pearl White really shimmers and will keep looking its best for longer – particularly as Arctic isn’t even a metallic colour.
Two tone finishes
The new Qashqai is a great looking car, and for those of you wishing to add a further personal touch, Nissan offers a range of contrasting two-tone paint jobs. It matches up two of the colours above and splits them between the body panels and the roof.
We’ve listed them all below to give you an idea of how different they look compared to the car with just one colour.
Pearl Black / Grey Roof — £975
Fuji Red / Pearl Black Roof — £1,145
Ceramic Grey / Pearl Black Roof — £1,145
Magnetic Blue / Pearl Black Roof — £1,145
Storm White / Pearl Black roof — £1,145
