´93 Ford Explorer Jurassic Park
Produced from 1991 to 1994, the first generation Ford Explorer is a mid size SUV offered in 2 door or 4 door body styles. Replacing the Bronco II and its underpinnings with the Ranger, the Explorer was designed with other competitors in the growing SUV market.
These Explorers were used in the first Jurassic Park movie released in 1993, being 1992 models with the XLT trim. They were used as tour vehicles to guide guests through a tour of the park in Isla Nublar. 2 units, EXP 4 and 5 were present in the movie, becoming stationary when electricity in the park shut down, resulting in EXP 4 being attacked, flipped over by the T-Rex, falling into a tree and off it’s route. EXP 5 was abandoned not too long after.
The Matchbox 1993 Ford Explorer Jurassic Park is based on the Tour Guide Vehicles with the XLT trim from Jurassic Park. It debuted in the 2018 sub series of Jurassic World. The casting has a number of MB1128 and has been in production since.
In 2022 a clean version of EXP 4 will be released.

- The 1993 Ford Explorer played a pivotal role in the hit film Jurassic Park. No expense was spared to create this automated SUV to be used as the official Safari Tour Ride vehicle. Outfitted with the latest digital technology of the 90s, this vehicle provided the ultimate luxury experience. Unfortunately, an escaped Tyrannosaurus Rex destroyed the truck, but the passengers were unharmed.

When Jurassic Park stomped into theaters, it chewed its way to the highest grossing film of 1993, setting the all-time record that year. It also spawned a franchise including the blockbuster Jurassic World Dominion. Our Matchbox 1993 Ford Explorer honors the safari ride of the park which played a pivotal role in the original movie. (Not to mention it was rolled and pivoted by a T. rex.)
Our design team passionately brought the Jurassic Park 1993 Ford Explorer back from extinction with this fiercely faithful replica. From the striking Jurassic Park logo on the hood and sides to the 6-spoke wheels with yellow VUM hubs, we spared no detail. It’s caged in an acrylic case with terrain-molded base and T. rex paddock-themed background. You’ll be dying to get your claws on one.

Автомобиль крошечный, но в нем много точных аутентичных деталей, от логотипа Парка Юрского периода на капоте и по бокам до шестиспицевых колес с желтыми ступицами VUM. Все очень точно, вплоть до номерного знака и логотипов сзади.
Краска имеет яркое, почти блестящее покрытие. Машинка выполнена в расцветке шкуры динозавра.
Это коллекционная металлическая литая модель, праздник для коллекционеров. Она поставляется в удобной упаковке: большом акриловом футляре с рельефным основанием и тематическим панорамным фоном, на котором изображен загон тираннозавра рекса.
