What’s a plug-in hybrid?

Equipped with both a petrol engine and an electric motor, the TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid delivers 265 PS of combined power output – and an all-electric mode at the push of a button. Once the charge in the 13.8 kWh battery is depleted, it switches seamlessly back to the petrol engine so you can go as far as you need to – and plug in to recharge the battery when you reach your destination.

Electric range + flexibility.

A plug-in electric vehicle is a perfect compromise: plenty of electric range for most daily journeys, and the flexibility of a petrol engine for longer trips.

Zero tailpipe emissions in EV mode.

There are certain situations in which the petrol engine will automatically activate when the vehicle is in EV mode: When the hybrid battery state of charge is reduced to a certain level, when acceleration demand is high and when cabin heating is activated.

Новый Hyundai Tucson стал мощным гибридом

Кроссовер Hyundai Tucson нового поколения дебютировал сразу во множестве вариантов, но самый мощный подзаряжаемый гибрид в компании тогда придержали. Он рассекречен только сейчас, и это первая модификация в семействе, которую можно подключить к розетке.

Под капотом установлена та же бензиновая турбочетверка 1.6 T-GDI (180 л.с., 265 Нм), что у начального гибрида без вилки. Но в шестиступенчатый «автомат» встроен более могучий электромотор, который выдает 91 л.с. и 304 Нм. Совокупная отдача этого тандема достигает 265 л.с. и 350 Нм. Полноприводная трансмиссия (с муфтой на задней оси) полагается такому гибриду по умолчанию.

А главное различие двух гибридов — литий-ионный тяговый аккумулятор. Если у начальной модификации Tucson Hybrid он имеет емкость всего 1,49 кВт∙ч, то Plug-in Hybrid оснащен батареей на 13,8 кВт∙ч, которая установлена под полом салона и вдобавок имеет жидкостное охлаждение. Предусмотрен чисто электрический ездовой режим, в котором полностью заряженный кроссовер может проехать 50 км (по циклу WLTP).

Гибридная начинка почти не повлияла на простор в салоне, но объем багажника все-таки уменьшен: с 620 до 558 литров «под шторкой» и с 1799 до 1737 литров со сложенным задним диваном. В Европе продажи подзаряжаемых версий начнутся весной 2021 года, а позже такой Tucson появится и на других мировых рынках. Хотя у нас гибриды можно не ждать.
