In the feverish whirlwind of automotive fashion, there is seldom an opportunity to create a lasting and permanent statement. The Land Rover Defender, however, is a vehicle that defies the fickle fads of fashion. Since 1948, this towering automotive icon has been going about its business quietly and efficiently.
Defender has always been one of the world’s toughest and most relentless go-anywhere vehicles. That ‘anywhere’ would traditionally have been vertical mountainsides and searing desert scapes, rather than elite cultural events and tree-lined boulevards.
And the new white Land Rover Defender 110 Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track certainly sets itself apart from virtually everything on the road.
This is recognisable as a Land Rover, but like no Land Rover ever seen before. The 18” 1993 wheels give the vehicle a muscular stance whilst the wheels are covered by powerful front and rear wide forest arches.
The exterior enhancements are almost too numerous to list, however the Kahn bumper with piercing integral spotlights, stainless steel twin crosshair exhaust system along with mesh bonnet & side vents are notable additions.
The most impressive element of the whole ensemble is the imposing X-Lander grille and headlamp surround. This changes the face of the Defender and lends an air of brutish power yet combines it with elegant sophistication. The X-Lander has been designed to be an easy installation, using the factory mounting points, yet has distinct paint areas that allow almost immeasurable customisation.
In addition, the accomplished design is complemented impeccably by the Chelsea Truck Company wheel cover and optional side steps that allow for easy access.
Beneath the bodywork, a new set of new 1939 Defend Retro Dish wheels, measuring 8.5” x 16” at the front and rear with 275/55/20 tyres reveal a penchant for attention grabbing style. Behind the wheels sit toughened mud flaps and a twin crosshair exhaust system.
Inside, the cabin is the beneficiary of premium luxury.
If the commanding and purposeful exterior bludgeons the senses, then the antidote is in the svelte and luxurious cabin. Figure hugging seats, hand trimmed in soft, quilted, perforated leather are a foil to the precise machined aluminium pedals and tastefully re-faced instrumentation.
A 3 spoke leather steering wheel, manual gear stick with diff lock in Billet finish along with interior detailing are the finishing touches that complete this distinguished interior.

За что платить такие большие деньги, спросите Вы? За совершенно новый автомобиль, который отлично подойдет для поездки на модную вечеринку или на веселое приключение далеко за пределы города, ведь, несмотря на свой новый облик, «Дефендер» остался все тем же внедорожником.
Пятидверная версия Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 110 прошла через серьезную модернизацию, чтобы получить право называться Chelsea Wide Track. Для начала были установлены решетка радиатора X-Lander, накладки передних фар головного света, в которых появились черные перекрестия, расширены передние и задние крылья, упаковано в новый чехол запасное колесо на двери багажника и подготовлены сетчатые накладки вентиляционных отверстий в капоте и передних крыльях. Английский джип также получил светодиодные противотуманные фары в переднем бампере, светодиодные ходовые огни и бесцветные светодиодные указатели поворотов. Большую часть кузова окрасили в зеленый цвет «Fungus Green», в то время как крышу покрыли контрастной белой краской «Old England White». Снаружи автомобиля мы также видим черные матовые детали, тонированные стекла, пару круглых труб выхлопной системы, выведенных через крепления для задних брызговиков, и черные 16-дюймовые диски 1948 Defend на специальной внедорожной резине размером 265×75.
Некогда спартанский салон теперь выглядит ничуть не хуже, а может быть даже и лучше представителей премиальной линейки Range Rover. Здесь тюнерами были установлены четыре отдельных спортивных кресла GTB, обшитых перфорированной и стеганой кожей двух светло-коричневых оттенков, навигационная система, часы Churchill, иной щиток приборной доски, светодиодная подсветка, подсвечивающиеся накладки дверных порогов, акустическая система Alpine с сабвуфером, алюминиевые педали и новый руль. Кожей обтянули все, включая потолок и стойки, а пол багажника отделали деревом.
Уникальный Chelsea Wide Track также имеет камеру заднего вида и 2-дюймовый лифт подвески.

The Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI 90 XSi is capable of handling and overcoming virtually any kind of terrain thrown its way. Its off-road capabilities are without question, but it may not be the most comfortable or stylish SUV paving its way through dirt, mud, rock, or asphalt. That’s where the Chelsea Truck Company under the Kahn Expedition Vehicles umbrella comes into play.
The new Chelsea Wide Track Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI 90 XSi brings a new level of comfort, luxury, and style to the boxy and rugged SUV without sacrificing any of its capabilities.
The Tamar Blue Chelsea Wide Track Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI 90 XSi boasts a wide range of exterior Kahn accessories. The front fascia features new mesh stainless steel headlights with crosshair military design, mesh stainless steel hood vents, mesh stainless steel grille, new bumper, fog lights, and an aluminum sump guard. Beefier front and rear fenders with exposed bolt apertures and vents add a touch of toughness to the SUV along with the side vents with stainless steel mesh and Kahn prototype fender shields. At the rear sits a new set of mud guards, Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover, Kahn prototype tailgate badge, exhaust shields, and a new Kahn twin crosshair exhaust system.
Putting all of that torquey diesel power to any kind of terrain is a new set of Kahn 1948 Defend wheels with a satin black finish in a 8.0 x 16 fitment equipped with 235/85/16 tires for added grip in any situation.
Inside is all of the custom-tailored luxury for which the A Kahn Design brand is known. The front seats have been replaced with new GTB seats with quilted and perforated leather. Harris Tweed is featured throughout the dashboard, rear door panel and handle, instrument binnacle, and seat inserts, adding a special contrast to the black-colored interior. Drivers benefit from a set of machined aluminum vented foot pedals, red tachometer, and single-spoke leather steering wheel. The finishing touch is a red Churchill time clock at the center of the dashboard.
